  • Weyr Bowl
    A sandy area cut into the cliff face by an inlet of water eons ago. Here, weyrfolk can bask in the sun, relax on the small man-made lake shore, or visit herdbeasts and runnerbeasts.

    There are no drudges at DSW currently, so all riders do the duty of making their own meals. There is very little to eat here

    Most First and Second tier personal weyrs are acessible through a Lower Cavern entrance. All Third tier weyrs are not, and can only be gotten to by dragon

  • Hatching Grounds
    DSW's hatching grounds are located deep inside the weyr. There is no way to get there by dragonback, so all candidates and spectators must arrive through the main entrance and pass through the tunnels to get there. The grounds are small, comparitively speaking, so only one queen can be on the sands at any given time.

  • Outside Lands
    These lands outside of the Weyr are hostile and unpredictable. It's mostly foresty, but the forest is dead and thin. There is a beach that is rocky and the on habitable place is a thin strip many dragonlenths from the weyr. Fishing is good off the shore, but the waters are cold, even for the southern continent.

  • Louak Hold
    This is the only hold supported by Star Shadow Weyr. This is a seaside hold, north of Star Shadow Weyr. The foilage around the hold is sparse, even though it's well grubbed. Dragonriders come here often.

  • Detrix Mining Camp
    One of the last surviving mining camps in the Northern Continent. These people hate dragonriders and weyrfolk for they have no one to protect them against thread and blame Star Shadow Weyr for everything wrong on Pern. An interesting place to search candidates...
